Head of Legal & Compliance
Papirfly is a leading B2B SaaS Group (MarTech) with >250 employees across seven international markets. We are seeking a Head of Legal and Compliance to develop and lead our internal legal and compliance function.
This is a strategic leadership role with a heavy operational focus. You will be the primary legal advisor to the CFO and company. We are looking for a builder who is ready to streamline complex customer negotiations, reduce deal friction, and professionalise our multi-jurisdictional footprint (NO, SE, DK, DE, UK, FR, US).
Your impact
1. Commercial Contracts & Operational Efficiency
Architect the deal flow: Take ownership of the customer contracting lifecycle. You will identify friction points in our current enterprise sales process and implement a "low-touch" framework to accelerate deal flow.
Commercial playbooks: Refine and maintain the Group’s standard contract stack (MSAs, DPAs). You will build the playbooks that empower our sales teams to navigate complex negotiations autonomously.
Revenue protection: Ensure contract terms (e.g., payment cycles, indexation, termination) are optimized for IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards.
2. Group legal and strategic readiness
Operational execution: Act as the primary legal resource for the Group, handling corporate, commercial, and employment matters across our core regions (Nordics, Europe, and the US).
M&A readiness: Maintain a continuous "due-diligence-ready" state.
External counsel management: Rationalize our use of external law firms to ensure cost-efficiency and consistent advice.
3. Corporate governance, compliance & risk
PE-grade governance: Manage corporate housekeeping for the parent company and subsidiaries, adhering to the rigorous reporting and governance standards required by our Private Equity owners.
Compliance oversight: Direct the compliance team on compliance and risk, GDPR, IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, DORA, NIS2 etc.), and the evolving regulatory landscape.
Risk advisory: Advise the Executive Team on the legal implications of strategic shifts, market entries, and the impact of cross-border transfer pricing policies, as well as owning legal compliance risk assessments.
Who you are
Legal foundation: Master of Laws (Cand.jur / Master i Rettsvitenskap) from a Nordic university.
SaaS/Tech Pedigree: 6–10 years of experience, ideally combining law firm training with an in-house role in a B2B SaaS or PE-backed environment.
Commercial pragmatism: You understand the difference between a theoretical legal risk and a commercial deal-breaker.
Process builder: You are energized by building systems (templates, workflows, AI-enabled legal tech) that allow the business to scale.
International navigator: Comfortable working across Nordic, UK, and US legal frameworks, with a deep understanding of how legal terms impact finances.
